Disrupting it is.

The Blueprint

We have been working on our web app for over a year. Here is what it can do now, and what it will do in the future.

Access to talent

Roughly 60,000 new TipStarters are ready to join the labour market every year. Our app is your organisation’s portal to this talent, which we capture through our student outreach and university partnerships.

Real-time feedback

Organisations using our platform can see how well their TipSters and TipStarters are getting on, in real-time. We keep in touch, throughout the programme, to understand what is working and what isn't.

TipStart Community

The TipStart app and programme are just the start of the TipStart story. We're building an online space for users that graduate from the TipStart programme and have more to give, or more to gain.

Data trends

We want TipStart to change the way that organisations hire and retain staff. In the future, we will provide data insights into the experiences of our users, to inform organisation policies.

Step

01

Create an account and profile in the TipStart app.

You’ll be asked to provide some info about your organisation including the types of careers and skills it values in graduates.

Step

02

Nominate your employees as TipSters.

Enter their names, roles, team/departments, and email addresses. Each of the employees nominated at this stage will receive an invitation email with a link to register.

Step

03

Set up your organisation’s monthly payment plan.

You’ll be able to do this securely through Stripe, but make sure you have the details of a debit/credit card linked to your organisation’s business account.

Step

04

Finish creating your organisation’s profile.

This sends invitation emails to the employees you nominated as TipSters in step 2.

Step

05

Visit your new organisation homepage.

From here you can check how your TipSter’s registration and matching is going, update your organisation’s profile info and view blogs, articles and other TipStart content. You can also chat with a member of the TipStart team, in case you have any issues.

Step

06

Keep an eye on your TipSters

they’ll be matched as soon as the algorithm works its magic. Once matched they can chat with their TipStarters in the app and every month they’ll get a new guidance pack from the TipStart team to help. You can chat with any of your TipSters and any of their TipStarters from your organisation homepage.

Step

07

Choose what to do next.

After six months, your organisation’s plan expires and your TipSters will no longer be able to chat with their TipStarters in the app. At this point, it’s up to your organisation to decide whether or not to take part again, and which employees to nominate.

Step

01

Tell your organisation about TipStart

Your company will need to register and nominate you to become a TipSter, so you might have to fly the flag and drive for some change first within your company.

Step

02

Create an account and profile in the TipStart app.

If your organisation registers and nominates you, you’ll receive an email with an invitation to register yourself and create a profile. You’ll be asked to provide some info such as what you do, were you live, what you studied at university, and your personal interests.

Step

03

Visit your new TipSter homepage.

From here you can keep an eye on how your matching is going, update your profile information, and view blogs, articles and other TipStart content. You’ll be matched as soon as the algorithm works its magic. You can also chat with a member of the TipStart team, in case you have any issues.

Step

04

Mentor your Tipstarter.

You’ll be able to view your TipStarter’s profile information and message them from your homepage for six months. You can chat with them in the app as much as you like and every month you’ll receive a new guidance pack with helpful tips and suggestions.

Step

05

Tell your organisation what you want to do next.

After six months, your plan expires and you will no longer be able to chat with your Tipstarter in the app. At this point, it’s up to your organisation to decide whether or not to take part again, and which employees to nominate. Make sure to let them know if you want to take part again!

Step

01

Create an account and profile in the TipStart app.

To do this, you’ll be asked to confirm that you meet TipStart’s eligibility criteria. To take part you need to be a university student or recent graduate living in the UK and be interested in working in professional service industries such as consulting, finance and government policy. If you meet the criteria, you’ll be asked to provide more info about you, such as where you live, what you study/studied at university, the types of careers you’re interested in, your skills and personal interests.

Step

02

Visit your new TipStarter homepage.

From here you can check how your matching is going, update your profile information, and view blogs, articles and other TipStart content. You’ll be matched as soon as the algorithm works its magic. You can also chat with a member of the TipStart team, in case you have any issues.

Step

03

Interact with your TipSter.

You’ll be able to view your TipSter’s profile information and message them from your homepage for six months. You can chat with them in the app as much as you like and every month you’ll receive a new guidance pack with helpful tips and suggestions to make the most of this opportunity.

Step

04

Choose what to do next.

After six months, your TipSter’s plan expires and you will no longer be able to chat with them in the app. At this point you can choose to take part again, or graduate into the TipStart community - a Slack channel for all former TipSters and TipStarters to network and interact beyond the initial six month programme.
